This is how I started this journey
In 2019 I got married, I quit my job, a job that I loved so much, and I moved from Chile to Germany. I’ve never been in Germany before and I didn’t speak German at all.
We had a plan, my husband would study for a master’s degree, so we were supposed to stay in Germany for just 1 to 2 years.
But the plan changed. I found a new job in Germany and then surprise…I was pregnant.
My baby was born during the pandemic times. We were alone and far away from home. But nothing of that stopped us from being in Hamburg. Because, we knew that in Germany we would have the only chance to be the parents that we wanted to be, with no help, just the 2 of us.
The time passed by, and as I went back to work I realized how all my old colleagues and friends had grown up in their professional careers, and that made me feel sad because as most moms know, it is really difficult to come back to your professional career when you are a mom.
But I kept working because I knew that one day it would change. Because I knew that I had the courage enough to leave everything behind and find a job in a new country that I’d never lived before, I knew that I was strong enough to give birth in a country where I didn’t speak any word, and I knew that I was big enough because even I knew that my professional career would stop for a while, I chose to be the mom that I wanted to be.
So, I discovered something new, a new hobby. I was fascinated by it. Because it made me feel at home. It connected me with my roots. It reminded me what I loved. It made me feel alive. It connected me to arts, to colors, to music, to life, to my origin.
It was the only moment in my day where I was connected to myself.
So I keep doing it, and I keep sharing it, because that’s what I love the most about Mármol.

✿ Bringing a piece of Chile everywhere ✿
50 grs. of soap
When my husband and I left Chile, we had to pack our lives into two suitcases—23kg and 12kg—along with a 10kg backpack on our shoulders.
Without realizing it, we faced the difficult decision of choosing what would stay with us and what we would have to leave behind. But choosing 45kg is not easy, especially when you don't know when you'll return to your country.
After 5 years of living far from Chile, I became an expert at packing, and every time we go to Chile, I know how to organize my bags by selecting only the essentials and keeping the same "almost" 50kg that brought us here.
Each Marmol soap weighs 50 grams, 50 grams that represent those kilos that had to travel with us from Chile. Those 50 grams symbolize a piece of Chile that we can carry with us wherever we go. They reflect the piece of Chile that we can bring everywhere.
How are the soaps produced?
The soaps are handmade produced in small batches using the Cold Process technique, blending different vegan oils and butters with Sodium Hydroxide, which is responsible to the Saponification process
Each soap matures between 4 to 6 weeks after production. After the maturing period, the soaps are ready to be use. Therefore, they have to be stored in a cool and dry place.
Natural ingredients
All the ingredients are vegan and of vegetable origin, including mineral dyes to give colorful designs to the products in an eco-friendly way.
The soaps are free of palm oil, parabens, microplastics and/or silicone.
The soaps are not tested on animals.
